Hello All,

Thank you for taking the time to read this blogpost!

We hope it will clear up any doubts you have about S-User IDs and SAP Certification.

SAP provides many different types of User IDs, you can find a recent blog post dedicated to this topic  SAP User IDs? What’s the Difference? Find out more here…

Now, we would like to provide you with more information on S-User ID’s that are used for Certification purposes.

Firstly, what is an S-User ID?

It is a unique identifier that allows you to login to your SAP ONE Support Launchpad to report an incident, download software, generate license keys, configure connections, and more. Your S-User ID contains the letter 'S' followed by numbers (e.g. S0xxxxxxxxx).

Why has my S-User ID used for my Certification now expired?

S-User ID’s belong to companies, not individuals. Independent S-User ID's are no longer created.

Certification S-User ID’s that are not associated with any SAP customer or Partner company are no longer active/ valid and cannot be renewed or extended.

There is no Certification ID anymore, since badges are issued. Essentially, the Certification is the Contact Person ID/Learner ID that holds the certificate.

If you are associated with SAP Customer or Partner you may get an S-User ID from your company, to access SAP Support sites.

Currently, S-User ID's are created by the Super Administrator of the SAP Customer or Partner company that one is employed with.

With S-User Lifetime, S-User IDs associated with companies now have an "expiry date" which Super Administrators can easily extend.

You can find some useful Notes:

If you are not sure who the Super Administrator is in your company, we can help you. Please contact us at the CIC and provide your customer number, installation number or S-User ID details and we will be able to find your Super Administrator for you.

If you have an active subscription with SAP Training & Adoption or SAP Education, just like SAP Certification, SAP Learning Hub or SAP Live Access, you may follow the below steps:

  1. Create a new SAP Cloud login ID using the same email address as your S-User ID SAP Training Shop: Registration.

  2. The only two teams responsible for certificate transfers are the partner team (partner@sap.com) and the Training and Adoption teams (training.sap.com > Contact us).

Here is an SAP article on certification transfer that outlines the current process: https://learninghub.sap.com/help-center/faq/httransfercert

Informative blog. Thank You 346109

For your information, last year I cleared 4 SAP certifications with two different S user ids. Recently I joined a new organization and received a new S user id & sent a mail to 'EDUCATION.MENA@SAP.COM' to merge / transfer all my certificate under new S user ID. Within hrs they transferred all my certificates to new S userID.

I am currently in middle east region so used EDUCATION.MENA@SAP.COM. This mail id will be differ if you are in another region.

Thank you.

Would it also be possible to transfer your certification from one partner to another? I have recently done 2 certifications from an S-User Id associated with an SAP Partner. Now if I change my job to another SAP Partner, I would receive a new S-User Id. So does it mean I can request to transfer my certification credentials from my previous S-User Id to the new one?

346109 : I am independent consultant and I got my SAP certification on my own on my personal gmail ID and now my employer has become a partner with SAP and requesting me to transfer the certification for the new SID that I got recently from my employer.  Is it ok to transfer ? What if I change my employment in future will my certification be still valid? Can I request a transfer again once I move to new employer in future from current employer? What are the advantages for individual and company in these cases?

Pls share any thoughts on these. Thank you
