SAP Universal ID Recap of 2019 – SAP Universal ID increases its reach by integrating with additional platforms

We are looking back on an exciting year for SAP Universal ID, following the go-live of our open Beta release on SAP for Me in September. Since then, thanks to the invaluable feedback we received at various events and customer feedback sessions throughout the year, we have greatly enhanced the features and processes of our solution.

With the SAP Universal ID, we are proud to provide S- and P-users with an integrated login experience across SAP platforms with ONE personal user account and ONE password, consolidating all user-IDs that previously had to authenticate individually.

Currently, the following platforms already integrate with SAP Universal ID:

• SAP for Me
• SAP ONE Support Launchpad
• SAP Support Portal
• openSAP
• SAP Help Portal

But this is just the beginning! In the following months, we will further enhance your seamless login experience by requiring all SAP platforms to integrate with SAP Universal ID.

How can I create my Universal ID?

For a detailed description, please have a look at our previous blog post.

To create your Universal ID, simply follow these steps:

• Log in with one of your S-user accounts to SAP for Me
• Go to “My Accounts” via the Profile Section (upper right corner)
• Click on “Create your Universal ID”

Please note that SAP for Me does not support Public Users (P-users) yet.

Outlook

By the end of 2020, all SAP platforms will be supporting SAP Universal ID.
