Designing an application UI can be challenging, especially when both expert and novice users are expected to use the application. Designing the UI around guided procedures and steps for users can lead to a design that appeals to beginners and casual users. However, such a UI can be inefficient for expert users.

The CRM Web UI, first released in CRM 2006s, revolutionized the UI concept for business applications. However, the UI for maintaining prices in business transactions was designed more for the casual user. This shortcoming was addressed in CRM 7.0 with a new design that addresses the needs of casual and expert users.
