Introduction
The SAP Inside Track Kolkata was held on 17th June 2023. This event was organized by moumitasaha.thedatatherapist, Pradipto Saha and team with the support of many volunteers (check post) and sponsors like IBM and others. Needless to say, this was another successful SAP Inside Track event in India with around 600 sap community members attending 28+ sessions.
I took a session for an SAP mobility product named SAP Service and Asset manager 2210. In a nutshell it is an asset management application that supports both maintenance and service technicians. Using this app, you can manage work orders, notifications, condition monitoring, material consumption, time management, and failure analysis.

Why Service and Asset Manager
If you are working in SAP PM/EAM, you may have wondered how to utilize mobility for this?
So, what other option do we have other than Fiori or some 3rd party solution? SAP provides another cool solution SAP Service and Asset Manager which also supports offline mode.
The audience liked it, as we see mobility and ai is the future. Infact, you can also check sap roadmap reference document, you can see that in 2024 sap will be providing some cool features such as ai chatbot, inbound transaction queue out of the box. Also, new features are coming up every 6 months.
Also, many of my audience asked me how the map and sensor-based readings are supported in ssam. So map is supported in 2 ways gef and gis. Also, if you consider the sensir based (linear asset management), that too works out of box in ssam.
