How to Configure Installed base in C4C ?

Installed base helps to identify number of equipment or Machine installed in customer place.

We can also maintain competitor product in Installed base, which helps our sales and service team

To replace competitor product with our product .In other words it shows future prospect.

We can also identify “End of life” of our machine and replace our old machine by new machine.

Now C4C also supports installation point as a part of Installed base. By any installation point

We can get information about any machine installed at customer place its warranty starts date, end

date & duration of warranty.  Offline configuration is also available in C4C Installed base.

Following Steps for IB :

  1. First we go to Basic configuration>Implementation project then we  choose our

Project from the list & choose the Edit project.

   2. Then we will go to Scope Element list & in service option Entitle management is there

   3. In Entitle management select Installed base management & save It.

After that you can create Installed base.

      Hi Maddy,

We can replicate material from ECC to C4C with the help of SAP PI Middleware. After replication Material from ECC it becomes product in SAP C4C.

It is only possible to replicate the material that are assigned to product category this is

      Mandatory requirement in cloud solution.

In standard integration content product category in cloud is the material group in ERP. If we change the data in Cloud, the information in ERP always overwrites the data in Cloud.

      For Initial Load:

        1.      ERP & C4C system connected properly and variant Report RSEOUT00                maintained & schedule.

        2.      Enter T Code BD10

        3.      Material field enter materials which you want to replicate.

        4.      In Message Type(standard) Field enter MATMAS or MATMAS_CFS it                     depend on  Your configuration.

        5.      Logical system field enter logical system ID.

        6.      Choose Execute.

After Initial load has finished successfully ERP Ids are displays as External Ids in cloud solution. After that check Mapping of Objects.

It is possible to replicate material with Serial no in C4C, it will show as registered product in SAP C4C.

      Thanks & Regards,

Registered products and functional locations replication is supported via iFlow integration (SAP PI or HCI). I think the iFlows are available as part of the Utilities Industry Solution, not sure it is available with the standard C4C service license though.

    Hi Nawed,

You mentioned that is possible to declare “end of life” of a machine and replace with a new one. How is it possible to do that? I would expect to replace the registered product at end of life but also to simply uninstall it and reuse it later for another installation.

    Thanks

      Hi Giuliano,

Some companies already declared “End of life” of their product at the time of sale and after that they will not provide service to particular product, also the scrape that product and

      not use for other Installation.

For Example:  if you buy any Model Xerox, canon ,Ricoh MFD Machine they clearly mention that particular products end of life is  X year and y Laks copies whichever is earlier.

      Thanks & Regards,
