RISE with SAP is a single offering that provides a path to the Intelligent Enterprise for every customer, independent of starting point or complexity. Offered on a subscription basis, it features one responsible party for service-level agreement, operations and support.

For customers this poses the question about compatibility of non-SAP solutions (licensed via partners and ISVs) with their RISE bundle. Already last year, SAP ICC has introduced the certification category “Works with RISE with SAP” to create this transparency in alignment with the RISE with SAP strategy in a perfect way. Now, we go one step further to guarantee a better support of RISE with SAP for both our customers and partners:

Starting with S/4HANA 2022 release, Partner add-ons and integrated external solutions are expected to support SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition by default, when they apply for integration certification. Such Partner solutions will then be branded SAP Certified – Integration with RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud to highlight the compatibility with RISE with SAP. With that, it’s as easy as possible for customers to identify such certified solutions for RISE either in the SAP Certified Solutions Directory, or through this blog. Also partners will benefit from this additional clarity.

Today, in SAP S/4HANA Cloud private edition, classic ABAP custom code is generally used and still needed for extensions. However, for new versions and new solutions, Partners should always check and utilize the SAP S/4HANA Cloud extensibility model wherever possible, to be inline with SAP’s vision how such extensions to SAP S/4HANA should be built in future.

The integration scenarios for S/4HANA (on-premise) and SAP ERP / SAP Business Suite will align with SAP maintenance strategy and will be available only upon partner request/customer needs for support purposes only.

For questions or more detail, please contact icc@sap.com. Partners who wish to maintain a current integration for their solutions are encouraged to apply here: https://www.sap.com/applyintegrationcertification
