Extended Situation Handling in S4Hana Public Cloud

Hi all,

I created several extended situations in my S/4Hana Public Cloud system, but some situations return an error upon triggering: "Entity=references_to_objects_not_allowed". The error seems to suggest that some business objects of SAP cannot be used for extended situation handling or am I perhaps wrong?

The SAP object type on which I created this extended situation handling is Journal Entry and the event should be triggered with event CL_FINS_JOURNALENTRY_SOT_EVENT.

Is there also some trouble shooting documentation about the triggers of situation handling?

Hi Stefanie,

I checked internally: the error you see is "only" error when writing the application logs. We are aware and will fix this.

Concerning the trouble shooting documentation:
We did not yet release any trouble shooting blog as we did for the Situation Handling Framework - Standard version, but we have it on our todo list. For the moment you may use the blog Log Analysis for the Standard Framework of Situation Handling as basis but use the log object SIT2 instead of SIT to get some insights. The log entries are to some extend similar for the Extended Framework.
