In the area of finance, the most recent SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1805 release introduced a new exception handling process: Intelligent goods-receipt/invoice-receipt account reconciliation with
SAP Leonardo. By learning from decisions made in the past, this machine learning service helps reduce the manual efforts in balancing the differences between goods receipts and invoice receipts. The service also generates proposals to the user which accelerate the financial close.
Machine learning helps improve productivity and lower costs, which in turn create new business growth opportunities. It is our goal that 50% of ERP interactions will be automated in the next three years.

The Inventory Management Transfer Stock-Cross Plant app uses predictive analytics to predict the delivery date for a stock transport order and forecast if a goods receipt can successfully be completed on time – with the result being that planning and scheduling of goods in transit is more reliable and inventory decisions are based on accurate supply and demand data.
