Hi experts,
Can you help me out with a segmentation model?
I want to exclude clients who have explicitly and specifically opted out of email communications only for a target group in SAP Hybris Marketing, how would you move forward? How would one specify that the client only have opted out of emails, not SMS for example?
This is just to quality assure our data, and that nothing goes wrong according to GDPR and our decisions.
In the picture below at the bottom, I have excluded explixit opt outs, but not for emails specifically, right?
Thank you in advance!
Hi winther29
What you say is indeed correct:
"In the picture below at the bottom, I have excluded explixit opt outs, but not for emails specifically, right?"
Indeed you exclude the explicit opt-outs, but not for emails specifically. Indeed if you also track explicit opt-outs from other channels like SMS, those would also count.
What you can do alternatively,
is start from the top of your tree again, and make a parallel branch:
Interaction Type = MKT_PERM_OPTOUT
And, then a second box, with whichever field you can see if that optout was for email or another channel, I think maybe the id origin of the interaction?
So then you have a parallel branch with all people who DID opt-out, from the email channel/origin.
So then you can drag that onto your other segmentation branch with your current audience, and do a B/A operation (so, your audience, minus the ones in the branch of people who did opt-out).
I hope it's more or less clear in written text...
