Today's Postal Bulletin appears to have nothing in it that will affect how your mail is sorted. Perhaps the most interesting article in this issue is a short item on p. 22 titled "Business Mail Acceptance Verification and Payment Procedures Still a Top Priority." This lists the key steps for postal employees "to ensure proper completion of BMA procedures [to maintain SOX compliance.]" The last bulleted item, "Ensure the postage statement is checked into PostalOne! prior to processing," implies that if PostalOne! has any flaws with how it handles a mailing preparation (for some legal but unusual mail prep, for example), you as a mailer are likely to experience delays.

There are 2 DMM revisions you may want to look at if these items sound like they might affect your mailing process:

  • Collect on Delivery (COD) Service (DMM 503)
  • Processing Refund Requests for Unused Meter Indicia (DMM 604)

If you use International Priority Airmal or Surface Air Lift mail services, you will want to check out the IMM revision for those mail types. This issue also announces a new Ronald Reagan Forever stamp.

If you'd rather look through a printed (or pdf) index than google for historical information, this issue does have the 2010 Annual Index.
