PLM Infodays 2019

390 Attendees participated at the PLM Infodays 2019. On Day one Customers showed in three keynotes and in 4 breakout tracks how they are using our PLM suite within their companies and how they use PLM from DESIGN to OPERATE in their downstream processes.



Day 1 was kicked of by Nils Herzberg (SVP DSC) giving a keynote about WHY PLM MATTERS. Under his motto  - without the P (PLM) no R (Revenue) -  he outlined the importance of PLM for the customers value chain.

HILTI followed by showing how they innovated their PLM processes by using SAPs PLM suite. HILTI went from ECC to S/4 HANA from zero to 100 incl. SAP Engineering Control Center and all other PLM Suite products.

This keynote was followed by a presentation from DAIMLER. They showed in a very interactive session how the use SAP Product Lifecycle Costing to calculate their profits for their future Car-Lines and why insights into costs in the early stage is mission critical. Daimler showed impressively how to start a new IT project with a brand new solution and going live within 9 month and how the system can be used at its best.

After Lunch the attendees listened in 4 breakout tracks where customers presented their solutions from Design down to Operations. Among those KRONES, Maschinenfabrik Rheinhausen, Ypsomed, Osram Continental, thyssenkrupp, Hella GmbH, KION Group, INDEX Werke, WILO SE, Festo AG, and Hoval AG. Each of those customer presentations was a highlight in itself. The different facets of how they are using our PLM suite was just one aspect and a key take away.

Jürgen Weiner, SVP R&D was closing the day by presenting the future of the PLM Suite by using intelligent services so customer will be able to speed up their time to market.

On the second day we gave customers the opportunity to meet product owners either at the PLM marketplace or in 16 deep dive sessions about all different aspects of the Design process.

Customer always were able to meet SAP Services and SAP Partners (DSC AG, CENIT, Cideon, riess Engineering, Cadenas, LeverX, xPLM, MHP, EXA AG, allVisual, Seal Systems, Invenio, P&PM, trinkle 3D) and visit our showcases where we showed in a virtual world how PLM processes could be supported in future.

Looking forward to see all customers in 2020 again.
