Yes. If you look at the Maxlen property in the DB2 dbms definition (e.g. DB2UDB97::Script\Objects\Table\Maxlen) it is set to 128.
In my test this was copied to the model table naming convention for code in the model options when I selected DB2UDB97, so I got 128 instead of the 8 you see. Is this what you did?
