Solman alerts are retriggering during apply and activate of managed objects

Dear SAP Team,

In Solman 7.2 FPS 16, while we are performing changes of threshold in the metrics and saving and then after Apply and Activate of Template/Managed objects under Application Operation -> System Monitoring. 

This is causing retrigger of all old alerts at a time which are in the alert inbox/queues. Also, we tried to confirm the old alerts in the Alert Inbox in Solman_workcenter, but it did not work to stop retrigger of old alerts.

Could you please kindly help us in resolving the issue on priority as we are in Production Go-Live ELS Phase.

Hello team,

When performing SOLMAN_SETUP / Application operations / System Monitoring / step 5 select MO / step 6 run apply and activate, new monitoring configuration is pushed to database tables.

At this time, all alerts related to corresponding Managed Object will be confirmed due to reconfiguration, then System Monitoring metric status will be calculated, if any metric is reporting yellow / red, then new alert will be created.

In Alert Inbox there is a field called Reason for closure that will show why the alert got confirmed. When reconfiguration occurs, it will show text: Re-configuration - Managed Object was re-configured

This behavior is expected, as works as product is designed.
