SAP Cloud ALM Health Monitoring metrics: standard thresholds, batch update, and disabling metrics

Hi,

  1. Does SAP provide their any standard threshold values for metrics (e.g. for Cloud connector, S4HANA systems, etc.)?
  2. Can we set/update a single metric thresholds at the same time for many systems?
  3. We get a lot of e-mails and alerts for some metrics, our e-mail inbox is being spammed. Is there a way to disable a Health Monitoring metric for a system so that we don't get so many e-mails?

Thanks

  1. Many metrics come with pre-specified values as a "default", which become active when you enable the data collection. Those "default" values are simply a suggestion. It is up to a Customer themselves to select threshold values appropriate to what they consider to be actual "warning" or "critical" scenarios.
  2. Metric thresholds can only be set per system/service. There is no "batch update" functionality available to update the same metric for multiple services/systems.
  3. SAP Cloud ALM Health Monitoring does not support disabling specific metrics. If you are receiving too many alerts/e-mails, you must take one of these actions:
    1. Change the metric thresholds values to a range that is higher and is not surpassed frequently.
    2. Disable the alert/e-mail generation in the associated event.
