SAC Currency Conversion Add missing rates - but they are not missing

Hello community,

in SAC, I am loading data in local currency and I want to convert it to EUR.

(I created a currency conversion table. I am using the new model type, with an account dimension and one measure for the imported data in local currency, and one converted measure for the converted data in EUR.)

In the story, I get the error, that some rates are missing (see screenshot "error").

Then I click on "add missing rates", screenshot "adding_missing_rates" pops up, I click on add.

But there is an entry for that date already (see screenshot "after_adding_missing_rates"). And even if there would be no entry for that month, it should work nevertheless, as there are many entries for the months before and its just a "valid from" field.

(The elements in the Account Dimension are INC, EXP, NFIN and one LEQ. INC and EXP have "Average" as Rate Type, LEQ has "Closing" as Rate Type. In the currency conversion table, the rate types are empty, in order to keep it flexible. This problem does not occur, if I add the rate types to the currency conversion table. But I want to use this table for Average and Closing, thats why I would like to keep it empty.)

Do you have any ideas, what causes this error?

Thank you and kind regards,

Eric

@eric2357

I am not able to see the the attached images but the setup would work like this.

  • Make sure all accounts have proper Account Type assignment.
  • Make sure all accounts which you want to be in scope for currency conversion has currency and unit attribute set to currency.
  • If you define Rate Type for few Accounts as Average or Closing, then system looks for a valid Average and Closing rate and leaving it blank in Currency table will throw missing rate error.
  • If you have left rate type as blank for few accounts, then system looks for a blank rate Type rate in currency table and existing Average and Closing rates are not used and it will still throw an error of missing rates. So you need to add a blank Rate type rate for the currency in addition to Avg and Closing rate for the currency.
