PowerDesigner: a possible workaround to continue using tool (license use)

For security reasons (software updates required, changes in the development process, etc), we will need to discontinue our PowerDesigner InformationArchitect (version 16.5.0.3982) floating license server.
A possible workaround would be to use the license locally.
Here's my question: is it possible to use a floating license as an independent local license?

Hi,

during generation of license file(s) you have two options:

• Served license
• Unserved license

The second one is the best for your purpose, because each license can be generated for individual workstation (and no lic.server needed). But please take into account, that this license is FLOATING, but it will be tied to ONLY ONE user. So if your users don`t work with PowerDesigner full-time, you are not using full potential of floating licenses.
