How to create a custom SWC copy to another custom SWC with DCs renaming (BPM/CAF/EJB)

Hi experts

Some couple weeks ago my client asks for the creation of a new Software Component Version of an existing BPM development, but the main requirement is to keep running and maintaining the old one. The request is to create a new Country specific version of the original development.

The development contains BPM DCs, EJB DCs and CAF DCs.

For the reduction of the complexity, regression tests and compatibility issues, we decide not just to "add" the country specific functionality in the original BPM models, we'd like more to create a new country specific version of the original SC/DC's and make the corresponding changes without losing the "base functionality".

At this stage we take the following directions:

1.- Create a new SWC version based on the original one on the SLD

2.- Create the new corresponding NWDI Tracks to hold the new code extensions (importing the base development)

3.- Import the new Development Configuration into NWDS and start to work with the new country version.

The problems we faced:

1.- The original BPM DC's preserves their original project names and if we promote the new changes to Dev system, the base version of the BPM DC is replaced by the new one and we don't want this.

2.- We create a new BPM DC (with other name) and copy the original (bpm model, interfases, functions), but this breaks the BPM consistency, and all mappings/configurations are gone or are marked as erroneous, thus, we should delete all mappings and start again with all the work.

So, the question here is how to create a new version (or copy) of the original BPM DC into a new project without losing mappings or configurations?

Thanks!
