Attribute layout in RTF report

Hi,

I'm using PD 16.7.7 and creating a RTF report on a CDM. I'm creating my report with the legacy editor.

I think that what I want is pretty simple, but I can't figure out how to do it.

In my resulting RTF report, I want to display one attribute left justified and another one right justified on the very SAME line. (see layout.png) Since I can place report elements one under the other, I don't know how to keep two or more attributes on the same line.

Keep in mind that those two attributes are not from the same object (not the same entity, for example).

I know I can do it in the new editor, but I have other issues if I use it.

Thanks!

Hi!

I think I'm doing things correctly... 😐

First, I added a 2 column table to my RTF template. (see step1.png)

Then I generated my report. The attributes that I want IN my table were lower than my table. So, I returned in my RTF template and lowered the table. I regenerated my report and my attributes did go even lower. (see step2.png) My conclusion is that the report content appends to the RTF template content.

What am I doing wrong?

Maybe I would need a step-by-step procedure, please.

Thanks!

In the RTF report template, insert a table with two columns. Place the left-justified attribute in the first column and the right-justified attribute in the second column. Adjust the width of each column as needed to achieve the desired layout. Set the alignment of the text within the cells to left for the left-justified attribute and right for the right-justified attribute. Preview or generate the report to see the result. Using a table gives you more control over the layout and alignment of the attributes on the same line in the RTF report. If the new editor is causing other issues for you, you may need to experiment with these workarounds in the legacy editor to achieve the desired result.

Wow! Thanks for the quick answer, I'll give it a try. And I'll come back to give the result.
