I had the pleasure of representing SAP and our many Early Talent programs at the University of Notre Dame's "Meet the Firms" event last night. The event is sponsored by the student Information Technology Management (ITM) club and is open to all Information Technology Management majors and all sophomore business majors that may be interested in exploring career opportunities in ITM or those intending to declare the ITM major. The ITM major is within the ITAO department in the Mendoza College of Business and is described below. Several ITM courses include education around SAP solutions.
The focus of this event was primarily on summer internship opportunities but the individual discussions also included reference to other SAP talent programs including:

OUR MISSION
Through both teaching and research, the Information Technology, Analytics, and Operations department builds upon the inherent synergies between data governance, data analytics, and the optimization of operational systems. The department’s various programs and service courses seek to educate students about this synergy and to prepare them to make sound, ethical and well-rounded business decisions. The ITAO Department’s specific objectives include:
- Establishing and maintaining global research reputations in each of our core disciplines:
- Analytics
- Operations Management
- Information Technology
- Improving the human condition at work by preparing future business leaders for the ever-changing technical, managerial, and ethical landscape of business
- Promoting the Catholic character of Notre Dame through our personal and collective conduct
OUR DEGREES
Undergraduate: The Department offers two majors to Mendoza College of Business students: IT Management (currently available) and Business Analytics (beginning with the graduating class of 2019).
Graduate: IT, Analytics, and Operations coordinates the MS in Business Analytics program offered in Chicago. The Department also supports Notre Dame MBA concentration tracks in Business Analytics and Consulting. In fall 2017, the ITAO Department will introduce a new dual-degree program that provides two-year MBA students with the opportunity to graduate with both an MBA and an MS in Business Analytics degree.
