Value Map for Application Lifecycle Management
In the beginning of April 2016 the SAP Enterprise Support value maps for Test Management, Change Control Management and Technical Monitoring & Alerting were amalgamated into the new SAP Enterprise Support Value Map for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
The combination of the these three topic areas, following the ‘Build & Run SAP’- approach enforces the strategy to concentrate all capabilities that are entitled to test, monitor and review not only re-actively but also proactively our customers’ installations.
Aside from bundling these value maps under the umbrella of ALM, their content and structure has been completely revised & refreshed and all objectives were updated. With this new, extended and improved format, the SAP Enterprise Support Value Map for Application Lifecycle Management supports you better and allows you to adopt and upgrade to the new SAP Solution Manager 7.2 release and to transition to SAP S/4HANA.

Content Update - Value Map for SAP Solution Manager Setup
The new SAP Solution Manager 7.2 release will be generally available in the third quarter of 2016. However, you can start right now to prepare your upcoming projects like content activation, upgrade to 7.2 or a blank new installation.
In order to provide you with guidance for topics related to the new version 7.2, the SAP Solution Manager Setup value map has been restructured and redesigned.
Members of the value map can now choose, directly from the home-screen, the new release (7.2) or the current release (7.1) of SAP Solution Manager and will be directly guided to the related objectives of each release.
Besides the new content and new objectives like “Embed SAP HANA- or cloud systems with SAP Solution Manager 7.2”, the new learning format guided-discovery tutorial has been integrated into the learning content of the value map.
Furthermore, the design of the SAP Jam group has been improved and Jam users can now enjoy a fresh, cleaned up look and feel.
