This May 2024, tentatively the week of May 13th, we will pilot a new Expert Guided Implementation (EGI) on SAP Datasphere Fundamentals as part of the SAP Enterprise Support advisory council .

The SAP Enterprise Support advisory council provides immense value by bringing together a select group of customers to collaborate with SAP experts and provide valuable insights and feedback on the development, improvement, and optimization of the SAP Enterprise Support program. Through this collaboration, members have the opportunity to influence SAP's support offerings, gain early access to new tools and resources, and actively shape the future direction of SAP's support solutions.

A reminder that in Q4 2023 we introduced the new EGI: Plan your Conversion to SAP Datasphere with BW Bridge, or SAP BW/4HANA

In our new planned EGI we would like to provide you with a concrete understanding of the use cases for SAP Datasphere, and take you through the important features, with the help of expert lead guidance that will be provided to you, so that you can see quicker time to value when starting your own project.
You will receive a comprehensive deep dive into SAP Datasphere including the more technical aspects such as system readiness and connectivity options, data provisioning and replication, and much more.

Prerequisites

The only prerequisites for joining is that you have an active project where you are evaluating use cases for SAP Datasphere in your system environment. We will cover some topics which will be relevant to customers coming from an SAP BW on-premise perspective but mostly the topics covered will be agnostic to your wider SAP landscape if any.
Having an SAP Datasphere tenant would be an advantage, even just a trial system or an active subscription, but this is not mandatory for participation.

Agenda

This pilot sessions will be brought to you in 4 x 2 hour sessions.
Topics covered include:

  • Insights on system readiness, installation and set up of connectivity options, and data integration
  • Data democratization with tightly integrated SAP analytics solutions
  • Data modelling – we will look at the data layer / business layer, modelling, and model transfer from SAP BW/4HANA
  • Data Provisioning and Replication
  • Space and Usage management
  • Authorizations
  • We will take a look at the SAP HANA Database Explorer, and much more

Our aim is that through the course of these enablement sessions we will help you understand key concepts and see quicker time to value when adopting SAP Datasphere.
