SAP Fiori 1

The revolution began with a groundbreaking collection of mobile applications that completely reshaped the user experience in SAP scenarios. This first iteration of SAP Fiori focused on simplifying and enhancing the most common tasks, such as approvals, information lookups, and self-service tasks. The introduction of SAP Fiori 1 marked a significant departure from the traditional, complex SAP interfaces, making it more user-friendly and intuitive.

SAP Fiori 2

Building on the success of the first version, SAP Fiori 2 expanded the Fiori design to ERP scenarios, streamlining business processes and further improving user experience. The launch of SAP Fiori 2 brought new features, such as the Fiori Launchpad, which offered a centralized and personalized access point for all SAP applications. This version also included improved navigation, enhanced visualizations, and role-based access to information. In 2015, SAP Fiori 2 was recognized with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for its contribution to innovative design in enterprise software.

SAP Fiori 3

The most recent evolution of SAP Fiori saw its design system integrated into all SAP products, thereby empowering intelligent enterprises. With SAP Fiori 3, SAP introduced the concept of "Horizon," which provided a more coherent and consistent user experience across all SAP solutions. This version also introduced a series of advancements, such as the SAP CoPilot, an AI-powered digital assistant designed to help users interact more efficiently with their SAP applications. Additionally, SAP Fiori 3 focused on integrating SAP's Intelligent Technologies, such as machine learning and predictive analytics, into its design, further enhancing the user experience and productivity.

The continuous evolution of SAP Fiori showcases SAP's dedication to improving user experience and ensuring seamless integration with their entire software suite. Each iteration of SAP Fiori has brought new innovations and features that have significantly contributed to the modernization of enterprise software and the overall success of SAP Fiori as a comprehensive design system.

SAP will continue to focus on enhancing the consistency and integration of Fiori's user experience across its entire product portfolio. This effort will enable users to seamlessly navigate and interact with various SAP applications while enjoying a unified and intuitive interface. This vision will simplify the learning curve for new users and boost productivity for existing users.

Low-Code/No-Code Solutions

With the introduction of low-code/no-code solutions, such as SAP Build, SAP aims to make it easier for businesses to create custom Fiori applications that cater to their unique use cases. This approach will empower users with little or no programming experience to design, develop, and deploy their own Fiori apps, fostering a more agile and adaptive business environment.

SAP Fiori's future will see a more significant integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and other advanced technologies, such as machine learning and predictive analytics. These integrations will further enhance the productivity and user experience of Fiori applications by offering intelligent insights, automating repetitive tasks, and facilitating more effective decision-making processes.

Enhanced Mobility and Accessibility

SAP Fiori will continue to prioritize mobile and accessible design, ensuring that users can access their SAP applications from any device and at any time. Future enhancements will focus on responsive design, improved performance on mobile devices, and the adoption of emerging technologies that will make SAP Fiori applications even more accessible and user-friendly.
