SAP Ariba Buying, guided buying capability - Multi-line RFQ sub-category definition

This feature aims to bring more flexibility to the request for quote (RFQ)/tactical sourcing process in Guided Buying. The multi-line style request for quote tiles now support the ability to define line items as sub-category.

System Administrators can now set the parent commodity and “Allow subcategory selection” checkbox easily in the tile user interface per line item.

The requester can then select the relevant child commodity code for their request on each line. With multiple lines in RFQs, users can select more granular and relevant commodity codes for each line, leading to more detailed requests and improved control over policies.

SAP Ariba Buying, guided buying capability - Added control over approver-related actions on requisitions

Responding to customer feedback, we have made some changes to enhance controls so customers can ensure guided buying is solely used for creation and approval of purchase requisitions where required by our customers.

Requesters and approvers using guided buying capability with SAP Ariba Buying (2NV) or guided buying capability for Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Buying (3EN) integration scenarios can be prevented from taking action directly in SAP Ariba Buying to ensure that requisitions are correctly managed. This capability is parameter managed so that Administrators can take a decision as to whether to implement this feature.

SAP Ariba Buying - Import Purchase Contracts from SAP S/4HANA 2023

This feature is certified an additional use case for Importing Purchase Contracts no longer restricted to just S/4HANA Public Cloud usage.

With this feature, SAP Ariba certifies the integration between SAP S/4HANA 2023 and suite-integrated SAP Ariba Buying solution. Using this capability, it is possible to import purchase contracts from SAP S/4HANA 2023 and create corresponding item-level compliance contracts in SAP Ariba Buying solution.

Catalog subscriptions are generated for all the items in these contracts and the items are made available for users to search for in the catalog for purchase where Guided Buying Capability with SAP Ariba Buying (2NV) or Guided Buying for Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Buying (3EN) integration scenarios are used.

*This must be performed in an Ariba realm where Contracts Pro/Strategic Sourcing Pro is not enabled (where no contract workspace document type exists)

SAP Ariba Guided Buying Capability - Automated User Experience Survey

Our final feature to highlight, we've implemented automated surveys on the guided buying home page. These surveys will help the product team at SAP collect valuable feedback on user experience.

The data gathered from these surveys will be invaluable in shaping the future of Guided Buying. By understanding your needs and experiences, our SAP Central Design team can make informed decisions on how to improve and provide a better product to you, our valued customers.
