The recent partner summit for the North American Regulated Industries region was a resounding success, bringing together leaders from industries including Aerospace and Defense, Education, Healthcare, Public Sector (Federal, Civil, State and Local), and Utilities. This annual event is part of a series of industry planning sessions organized by the NA Industry Cloud ecosystem, and saw participation from the Public Sector IBU, supporting the location of SAP’s NA headquarters in Newtown Square, PA. You may have seen us on stage (Sally Kurtz, Chris Atkins) or contributing to meetings (Schimon Dieseler, Paul O'Sullivan, and Matt Dixon) and we’re glad to have had this forum for learning together. Believe me that there's value in seeing the spark in someone's eyes, when sharing kinship across professional interests and future endeavors... because of attendance from over 60 partner companies and several hundred individuals, those sparks were real. Over the course of the 2-day agenda, people were buzzing between global industry addresses, deep dives into specific industries, and sessions on topics such as AI, public cloud ERP, HCM, supply chain and procurement, transformation and platform strategies. The summit also facilitated 1x1 meetings between partners, as well as networking opportunities throughout the day. "Partner to deliver technical WEALTH for customers" was our modus operandi. One of the takeaways was our projection of the scale and addressability of the market for S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. Supporting this point of view with keynotes and discussions that brought SAP's nuanced industry experience to the challenges and opportunities within it, and how SAP continually adapts to create better results for customers. Partners took advantage of the opportunity to meet with SAP mentors, sales teams, solution experts and key stakeholders to evaluate how their work can integrate seamlessly with SAP's. Our shared strength is the roadmap and delivery alignment we achieve, before an organization begins using our suite. Overall, the summit added momentum to stay ahead of market needs (and requirements), with the resilient network of experts that are the foundation of happy customers who can apply themselves to excelling in their chosen field. The success of the event demonstrates the importance of knowledge-sharing within the industry and highlights the potential for innovation. Stay active between events and we’ll see you at SAPPHIRE!

Secondly, it's clear that events like this one compete for limited partner time yet, maintain pipeline momentum and growth in between annual conferences like Sapphire. Finally, regional sales team presence is crucial for both alignment and actionable expectations. Overall, the summit added momentum to stay ahead of market needs (and requirements), with the resilient network of experts that are the foundation of happy customers who can apply themselves to excelling in their chosen field. Hi, I am working on a solution where PBET is not active instead we have Fiscal year basis. I was asked to adjust budget consumption date and to replace delivery date by posting date in OF36. I believe doing so could create major inconsistencies in the system, did anyone experience transitioning from delivery dates to posting date (when FM is already active and with documents) and what were the side effects and is there a way to transition from delivery date to posting date? Additionally, this year, the Public Sector industry provided very prominent customer stories and relevant insights into their advanced collaboration with SAP. As a result, six out of the 13 entries made it among the finalists and two of them became winners.

Hi everyone, We have implemented EAPS for one Company code and put it in production system. Now we need to implement it for another Company code with its own CO society. We created a new FM area for this purpose. When we try to assign it to Company code, the system shows the error message FI673 ‘You must not change assignment to company code XXXX’. With this issue I have asked to open a ticket with SAP yet. Meanwhile, looking for a solution, I deactivated and then activated back Funds Management in IMG activity Public Sector Management -> Funds Management Government -> Basic Settings -> Activate Global Funds Management Functions (PSM-FM). These actions caused an error FAGL_LEDGER_CUST023 "Define a leading ledger" in FI, that is supposed to be solved with the Note 1867318 - Leading ledger 0L disappears after Funds Management activation. This note says ‘Once the leading ledger is visible again in customizing, the scenarios will have to be assigned manually. The reason is due to the fact that PSM provides new specific scenarios, and customers need to decide which fields will be used once PSM is active and therefore choose the scenarios that better fits their needs’ I still have not run the report FMGL_CHANGE_APPL_IN_LEDGER, but here are my doubts. When I had activated Global Funds Management Functions by the first time for the first Company Code, Leading ledger 0L had not disappeared. So, we did not have the option to choose a specific scenario. I was surprised about it but did nothing and that is what we have in productive system. I suppose that now I ought to assign a new specific scenario for both Company codes. My question is how will the posted data in productive system be affected by these changes? Will it create some inconsistencies? Have we to do something more to prevent it? We are in S4HANA SCORE 101. Sorry for the large text, but I want to explain well the situation. We are looking for a solution that can help us to control Long-term loans in a Budget Control System. Financial accounts for loans are balance accounts. As far as I know, this kind of accounts doesn't use in budget execution, however, I may be wrong. Any way, if we give loans to other clients and want to control it in BCS, how we can do it? Can we use FMDERIVE for deriving a budget address directly in Earmarked fund documents? If it helps, we are in S/4HANA and use Spanish Public Sector country specific functions. Hi All, While posting service entry, we get the budget exceeded error all right but the message does not show the account assignment elements involved like commitment item, funds center. There is no long text it only shows the amount of budget exceeded. How to display the account assignment elements as end users do not have FMDERIVE trace. Regards, Satan

Hi All We have the following situation: We have created a PR and availability check was performed and budget was consumed for that particular PR. The very next day, within the same month, a PO is created based on that PR, budget should be transferred from the PR to the PO, but this is not happening, and PO can't be saved due to the lack of budget. This is happening only in one PO, we have several others PO using the same combination of Fund Centre/Commitmen Item, therefore derivation rule is not the problem. Also when I check report FMRP_RFFMEP1AX, I can see the budget assignment from to the PR and then a budget reduction from the PR, but there is no line for buget assingment for the PO. this is happening on a Live system. Any help will be appreciatted. Regards, Mauro.
