The Second Half 2022 Release will deliver many exciting innovations and enhancements within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central that will help organizations create a more agile, engaged, and future-ready workforce. Here is a quick snapshot of these new capabilities:

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

As part of our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, we are taking important steps to help every individual be seen and valued. Users can now indicate their chosen name, personal pronouns, and gender directly within the People Profile. This information is displayed more consistently across SAP SuccessFactors solutions, helping to foster a greater sense of belonging. For more information on these new capabilities, watch the Product Area Highlight Video, featuring Bianka Woelke, VP Product Management, Employee Central.

Cross-System Workflow

We are also unveiling a new cross-system workflow capability for processes that involve multiple users from multiple systems, such as SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and the payroll component of SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM). A guided activity framework for key processes helps to improve the data maintenance experience and end-to-end HR process visibility for a hybrid deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. The cross-system workflow utilizes SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and will be available through the SAP Early Adopter Care program with an additional license.

Localization Enhancements

With this release, we are introducing new localized versions for Paraguay and Bolivia, enabling better support for specific in-country requirements. In addition, we have added a new “Localized Biographical Information” section to the People Profile. This feature helps further improve the mapping of localized biographical fields between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and payroll systems.

Public Sector Enhancements

We continue to invest in capabilities and enhancements to support the public sector. In this release, we now support the migration of work breakdown structure (WBS) elements from a custom field to a standard field. Additionally, the SAP Master Data Integration service can now be used to more easily replicate WBS elements from SAP S/4HANA® to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.

We are also introducing the ability to visualize the fund financing and grant sponsorships of full-time equivalents (FTEs) across the organization in the SAP Analytics Cloud solution. This capability enables organizations to better analyze budget consumption using a variety of key metrics, such as the number of employees that are sponsored by a soon-to-expire grant. By integrating information from SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and the SAP S/4HANA Finance solution, organizations can leverage powerful analytics capabilities and make timely, informed budget decisions for their personnel expenses.
