Hello everyone,
I would like to ask the following question:
can the pricing dates be determined from the item line level (from the "First date" column) [please see below]:
instead of "Pricing date" that can be found in the header [please see below]:
One of our consultants claims it is not possible to determine the price date from a place different than the sales order header.
Will be more than happy to learn your thoughts on this.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Hello Jakub,
What is the exact requirement here?
You need separate Pricing Date for each line Item in the Sales Order?
Generally Pricing Date is set based on the Configuration in the Sales Document Type (VOV8). Incase the Pricing is needed based on Goods Issue Date (Service rendered date), Copy Control settings for Invoice enables this.
It would be nice if you explain the Business requirement here.
Thanks,

Hello Jignesh,
thank you for your reply.
Let me specify the problem in more detail:
- we set up multiple PRICE LISTS with regard to certain products
- each PRICE LIST has a starting date, from which it should apply
Now, when we make a SALES ORDER, and we add certain line items (different products), we want the LINE ITEM dates to determine which PRICE LIST is going to apply (meaning: the starting date will be checked against the line item date, and not the date the order's header).
Is this possible?
I hope I've made it more clear now. If not - please notify me, I'll be glad to provide more information.
Thank you so much in advance for your help.
With warm regards,
Jakub
