Hello Experts,

We have scenario, where we have two materials and both have status of obsolete. These are externally procured material with Procurement type as 'F' and having the MRP type as 'PD' and lot size as Period lot size. We have maintained minimum lot size as 1620000 and rounding value as 1620000 for both materials. When we run MRP Live for the plant with planning mode as '3' 'delete and recreate' it creates the PR for one material with quantity 1620000 an for other its not creating any PR. I have checked master data for both materials and its exactly same, still why system is behaving like this. Can you provide details what other things I have to check.

Pls suggest the options other than ND MRP type.

Hi, There is a possibility that the PR created in previous MRP run before marking the status as obsolete. PR will not get deleted in subsequent runs even with planning mode 3, because it’s blocked for MRP. Can you delete the PR (ME52N) and re execute the MRP again for the same material to see if new PR number is getting generated.?

Hi Arjuna,

I thought about this and started to search for PR created date but I couldn't. Can you tell me where I can find PR created date.

Also why MRP has created PR only for single material and not for other. We have obsolete both materials on same day.

Hi, Check for the request date on item level Quantities/dates tab, or EBAN field BADAT for created date. Also check whether the PR has been generated through MRP, if the created indicator is B in the contact person tab at the PR item level (Or EBAN field ESTKZ) You can check the dates against, the material status changed date. Also, as I have explained earlier, try deleting the PR and execute MRP again to see if a new PR is generated after the next MRP runs. If the PR has not been fixed (Fixed ID indicator at quantities/dates tab), normally it should delete and recreate new PR, if MRP is executed with planning mode 3 without a block. Also, if the material status blocks the purchasing also, you will get error message “blocked for procurement” in converting the PR to PO.
