The App 'Allow Posting to Previous Period in Background' cannot be scheduled like the app for Closing Period (MMPV )

The App 'Allow Posting to Previous Period' only allows the updating of "Allow posting to previous per", "Disallow back posting generally" for one Company Code at a time

The app 'Allow Posting to Previous Period in Background' allows multiple Company codes to be supplied and a variant can be saved for easy of use so the variant can be used to update the customizing instead of maintain it for each

individual company code . This is what is meant by "In Background" in the title of the app

What the app 'Allow Posting to Previous Period in Background' cannot do is be scheduled to run at certain times like the app Close Period for Product Master . There is currently no Job Template available for it.

The app 'Close Period for Product Master' mentions in the fiori library link  'You can use the Close Period for Product Master app to automatically trigger a background job for closing period. To do this, you can specify scheduling options for the job template, Schedule Job for Closing Periods, based on which the system triggers the background job.'

The app 'Allow Posting to Previous Period in Background' does not mention this

That is the difference between the 2 apps .
