Dear User,
again we want to thank you for all the feedback you have shared with us on SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. Your ratings help us to better understand how different applications compare in your eyes, and if our focus should be on missing functionality or if we rather invest into design and ease of use. Also your written comments can help us to see if you are concerned about performance, the user interface or search functionality to name just a few. In the following section I want to share examples on how we have addressed product improvements based on constructive and specific textual feedback we have received from you. In this Blog, let’s look into specific improvements we did along the categories ease of use/UI design, features & functions and user enablement:
Ease of use / UI Design
We received the verbal comment “It would be great if the data “created on” and “created by” were still displayed in the overview”. Product Management assessed this very specific user request and was able to deliver it in the application Serial Number History (F7368) with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2308.4. For the app Display Serialized Stock Quantities (F7551) users requested additional functionality regarding the user interface for filtering and columns, so we improved the user interface with the same delivery mentioned before.
Also, there was the request to improve the app Manage Journal Entries V2 (F0717A) with the small improvement to expand the tree table with the related documents by default to increase the ease of use. We plan to deliver this change with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2408. For the two Monitor Material Coverage apps (F2101A and F0247A) it was too difficult to filter the materials with (or without) respective rescheduling proposal category. With SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2402.1 we had included a rescheduling column with the respective filter.
For the app Manage Purchase Orders V2 (F0842A), users requested extensive layout improvements for sections, columns and tables. So we already moved the account assignment sections to the second position, to ease the entry processing with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2402. We plan to further provide the new six-column layout this summer and complete the merger of items and limit items table into one SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2502.
Feature & Functions
Let’s look again at the app Manage Purchase Orders V2 (F0842A), where users mentioned “…entering items is difficult as there is barely any screen real estate”. In this case we provided the functionality to add items via the purchase requisition with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2308.
The app Create Billing Documents (F0798) had user comments helping us to understand, that maintaining price conditions was sometimes impossible with misleading error messages. With SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2408 we plan to improve the message handling and with the following release thereafter, we also plan to implement the reuse pricing component in a new generation of apps.
User Enablement
For the app Clear Ongoing Payments (F1367) we suddenly received a comment “Application no longer automatically picks reversed journal entries when using it” what initiated an In-App help for the field “invoice reference” with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition] 2402.
Already with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2308, we were able to improve the documentation for the users that told us “I don’t know how to use the new feature” or “have not been told how it works” for the apps Manage Stock (F1062) and Transfer Stock – in Plant (F1061).
These examples should show, that we take your feedback seriously. While we cannot directly contact users giving anonymous feedback, we highly appreciate your feedback and we also try to implement any constructive and reasonable feedback given to us. So please continue and even increase the feedback you share with us, it helps us to deliver a continuously improved product.
