Overview

This blog post provides a step-by-step guide on how to add communication arrangement SAP_COM_0A11 to your existing integration setup between SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Projects, Resource Management and SAP S/4HANA Cloud. It also includes instructions on how to verify that the communication arrangement has been properly set up.

Activate Scope Item 6JO

Before getting started, it's important to know that you must first activate scope item 6JO. This scope item would be needed to enable a seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Projects, Resource Management and SAP S/4HANA Cloud. This can be done by creating an incident on component XX-S4C-OPR-SRV.

Steps to Add SAP_COM_0A11

Once the scope item is activated, an Administrator of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system must complete the following tasks.

  1. Sign into your account with Administrator credentials and navigate to the group of apps related to Communication Management.
  2. Utilize the Communication Arrangements app to generate a new communication arrangement by using the communication scenario SAP_COM_0A11.
  3. Link the communication system that has already been assigned to the communication arrangements of SAP_COM_0054 and SAP_COM_0087 to this new communication arrangement.
  4. In the Inbound Communication section, make sure to assign the same communication user that was used in the communication arrangements of SAP_COM_0054 and SAP_COM_0087.
  5. Save your new communication arrangement.

Steps to Verify the Setup

  1. Open the newly-created communication arrangement to view its details.
  2. From the Inbound Services section of the communication arrangement, pick the service URL for Enterprise Project.
    For example, “: https://<XXX>/sap/opu/odata/sap/API_ENTERPRISE_PROJECT_SRV;v=0002"
  3. To the end of the service URL, add “/$metadata”.
The complete URL should look something similar to “https://<XXX>/sap/opu/odata/sap/API_ENTERPRISE_PROJECT_SRV;v=0002/$metadata".
  4. In your preferred REST API client application, select basic authentication and provide the credentials corresponding to the assigned inbound communication user.
  5. Submit the API request.
  6. You should receive corresponding metadata with the status code 200.
