Use Case:

This sprawling text gives you the crisp idea to maintain one’s available resource capacities in their optimum capacity. Also provides Information regarding a different scenario for resource scheduling, through Various available functionalities.

  • Order operations can be scheduled based on the priority/criticality of the work.
  • Schedules can be created for a target week by selecting operations from multiple maintenance orders.
  • Refinement of the schedules can be done based on the utilization forecast of the work centers for the week.

Prema facially to take advantage of Maintenance Resource Schedule through Fiori launchpad following apps are needs to be adopted in system with giving appropriate roles and authorization to authenticated End-User.  

  1. Resource Scheduling for Maintenance Planners (App ID: F2227).
  2. Manage Schedule (App ID: F3326).
  3. Maintenance Scheduling Board (App ID: F2603).
  4. Assign Maintenance Order Operation (App ID: F3423).

In the upcoming para will be dealing section wise functionalities in Maintenance Resource Schedule through Fiori launchpad Apps. Such as assign work center, create Work Center Team, create planning bucket, manage schedule, Freeze Schedule.

A. Assign Work Centre:

  1. To assign work Centre, Access the Resource Scheduling for Maintenance Planners (F2227) app.
  2. Choose the user profile button on the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Choose My Work Centers.

4.Add a row (+) and enter the name of the work center that you want to assign to yourself.
5.Select the right work center from the list of proposed work centers
6.Choose Assign.

B. Manage Schedule:

B.1. Create Schedule:

  1. Choose the Resource Scheduling for Maintenance Planners tile.
  2. Enter the required filter values and choose the Go button.
  3. Choose the header area of Work Center Utilization card.
  4. Select due order operations by selecting the checkbox.
  5. Choose Add to Schedule. A dialog box opens.

  1. Select Create New Schedule and enter a schedule name and the time period (define timeframe for the schedule).
  2. Choose Create and Open Schedule.

In the similar way new schedule will display on screen.

B.2. Level Work Centre Utilization

  1. Check the weekly utilization forecast on the List View tab.
  2. If work center utilization is not yet optimal, use one of the following options:

Add more due order operations. To do so, use the back button and follow these steps:

  • Select a few more due order operations by selecting the checkbox.
  • Choose Add to Schedule. A dialog box opens.
  • Select the radio button Add to Existing Schedule and then select the schedule created in previous step.
  • Choose Add and Open Schedule.

Remove order operations from the schedule if there's not enough capacity to complete them in the target week. To do so, follow these steps on the Manage Schedule page:

  • Select the operation on the List View tab.
  • Choose the three dots and choose the Remove button.

3. To move order operations to another work center, select the operation by marking the checkbox and choose the required work center from the Change Work Center dropdown list.

B.3. Refine Schedule

  1. In the Manage Schedules (F3326) app, choose Refine Schedule to start planning at day level.
  2. Select the order operations whose start day you want to set by marking the checkbox.
  3. Schedule the selected order operations by using one of the following options:

Choose Schedule Automatically.

The app finds a start day and time slot for each order operation.

An information popup is displayed. Select on Do not show again and choose OK.

  1. Choose Set Start Date and Time.

B.4. Dispatch Order Operations

  1. Choose the arrow on the Freeze Schedule button.
  2. Choose Save and Dispatch Operations. The app tries to dispatch all scheduled operations.

B.5. Cancel the Dispatch OR Change Start Date of Dispatched Operations.

  1. Open the Resource Scheduling for Maintenance Planners (F2227) app.
  2. Choose the header area of the Work Center Utilization card.
  3. The Manage Work Center Utilization app opens.
  4. Filter the list of order operations for the order operations whose dispatch you want to cancel.
  5. Select the relevant order operations by marking the checkbox.
  6. Choose Cancel Dispatch.
  7. Select the relevant order operations by marking the checkbox.
  8. Choose Change.
  9. Enter a new start date (and, if required, time).
  10. To immediately dispatch the operation, select the relevant value in the Trigger or Cancel Dispatch field.
  11. Choose Change.
