Hello SAP members. The SAP Inside Track community connect program held on 17th June 2023 at Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This program was designed to build connection between SAP members. Furthermore, there were several presentations on key topics articulated by seasoned SAP professionals. We gained a good amount of insight from the panel discussions too. It was a day long program with felicitations at the end. Here we are highlighting the topics we covered in this program.

Abhraneel Sarkar, Functional Capability Leader Wipro, attended the second panel discussion on “SAP in eastern part of India” highlighted the key aspects of focus on SAP members skillset growth, nurturing new talents and creating path for projects coming into the eastern part of India. The presentation topics are listed below.

  1. SAP System carve-out presented by Somenath Banerjee & Arijit Mitra: This topic describes the journey of IT system separation caused by de-merger of companies. We talked about the different strategies one can adopt based on pros and cons of them.

  2. Demystifying sustainability with a focus on the environmental and financial paradigms presented by Jayabrata Maitra & Jaydip Datta : This topic was based on sustainability which is one of the key themes of the program. It described sustainability control tower and the financial aspects especially the changes adopted by IFRS for financial reporting.

  3. Enabling risk resilient and sustainable supply chain presented by Swagata Biswas & Anirban Dutta: This topic elaborated the challenges client face in their day-to-day operation in today’s time. It talked about challenges on supply chain management process such as pandemic and geo-political conflicts. The key essence of this presentation is to highlight the approach we should consider while we design SAP S/4HANA laid processes to make the SCM process more resilient.
