Modeling End-to-End Business Processes

In this short blog post I would like to describe the modeling of E2E processes in SAP Cloud ALM.

"Processes are the glue that holds a system together." - Kai Yang

A definition for end-to-end processes

"An end-to-end process consists of a sequential selection of processes or sub-processes that are involved in facing a customer's need. The focus is on the horizontal, end-to-end view as opposed to functional or module-oriented view of the processes."

The starting point are the two process apps

Here, SAP Best Practice processes or customer processes are created and managed.

Example of an End-to-End Business Process

The business process begins in the KISIM application and continues in SAP across several modules.

Creation of Test Cases

The modeled processes are the ideal basis for creating test cases.

I hope I was able to provide some "food for thought" and ideas on the subject of process management with this blog post.
