Do you have an option for adaptation of the screens via your user menu? 

Via the adaptation mode, in the order list, within the Advanced Search, in the genral section, you migth be able to add a field that represent the accounts mail address.

In the adaptation mode click add field, via the customer folder you drill down futher and find and select the field email.

I would also add the email field in the result list - as you see the mail address appear immediately and you can then also search on the column that holds the mail address.
