What are you passionate about at SAP?
Connection and sharing. We are a huge company with plenty of resources and talents. Our competitive advantage is our collection of talent and resources. The better job we can do sharing what we’ve learned and learning from others about what they are doing and how they are doing it, makes us a better company and better at our own jobs. Finding ways to help connect people, talents, and resources across cost centers, continents, and camps is what I’m passionate about. What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
I’m so thankful this company supports individual initiative. While it is much easier to notice the growth in weeds rather than oak trees, startups may move quickly and grow fast, but wither like weeds at the first change in weather. Having a strong company with deep roots, just like a mighty oak, allows us to reach higher and provides many branches for many birds. What’s your favorite hobby?
I love radio and have been involved with radio broadcasting since high school. Radio forces you to create pictures with words and sounds. It also puts you in the position of learning to connect to an unseen audience. What is your favorite book and why?
There was a set of books I loved and grew up reading, Annuals of America, published by the Encyclopedia Britannica, which told the history of the United States though a collection of short stories, poems, song lyrics, and essays that were written during the times–a whole history of the country in 20 volumes. It was marvelous to watch, as I read, how history changed and attitudes adapted, transformed, or evolved. Solving fun problems and constantly sharpening my technical arsenal. With SAP and its passion to innovate life, work never gets boring. There are always opportunities to keep up to speed with the best-in-class technology and it's never difficult to find resources for mentorship, learning, and growth. When you learn and achieve and grow, there are a lot of employee recognition programs that help you get visibility, recognition, and appreciation along the way. What's my favorite thing about working at SAP?
What makes work special for me is the friendships and mentorships I've built at work which extend beyond just the job at hand. I also joined as an SAPsv ambassador so it makes me happy to be a part of the human face of SAP in the Silicon Valley community. The active volunteering opportunities I have come across through this helps provide great perspective and personal growth as well as a chance to know other people and build better relationships. If you could do anything you wanted right now, what would it be and why?
Relish the opportunity to change the lives of children in war torn areas like Syria using technology to bring relief and education. To me, education is not just a means to provide a well-paying job and later fend for themselves, it is a way to learn to comprehend the world around you and then come up with the ways and means to make it a better place by affecting change and inspiring lives around you. What’s your favorite hobby?
I love my camera, and I don't leave home without it. Photography can help you freeze time, see the world in a way the naked eye never would, and then share that with people you love! It makes you pay attention and drink in the beauty of existence. The passion to create a good image takes you to the most beautiful remote corners of the earth and at the same time teaches you to appreciate the magnificient sunset unfolding before your eyes on your daily drive home. | What are you passionate about at SAP?

Most outdoor activities like hiking, backpacking, camping, hunting and fishing. What’s one bucket list item?
Hiking the “Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne” in Yosemite. I actually hiked this beautiful 30+-mile hike over a four-day period a few years ago, but I want to return with my some of my kids when we have time. Hiking along the Tuolumne River from the Pate Valley up to Glen Aulin is some of the most spectacular scenery, (Waterwheel, LeConte, and California Falls) that most people don’t get to see. |
