I'm a little suprised that I haven't seen any weblogs yet from community members describing the session they would like to present at SDN Days. Perhaps people felt it was just a little early to post about their prosective session. I figure that you are more likely to have your session choosen if you blog about it in advance and can demonstrate community interest in your subject. It also might help your fellow SDN members who are still trying to justify to their point-haired bosses that going to SDN Days is a good idea, if they can show some details of some of the great content that will be presented that day. I figure Some more SDN Day Details, that I better get off my butt and follow my own advice and write about my session. Mark hinted that I would talk about the Editor Backport project, but wrapped up in there I will share a little bit of what it has been like to go from being a customer to being an SAP employee. I will share inner top secrets of SAP like which floors in the Walldorf Offices have decaf. If I run out of things to talk about, not likely, I can always put on a slide show of my pictures from touring Germany. On a serious note, there is a lot of really cool new Netweaver Development Technology coming in the near future. If the stars all align, perhaps I can even show a little bit of this that you won't see anywhere else. There are also a couple of Birds Of Feather sessions that I would love to see as well. I think a good idea for one would be for "Next Generation" ABAP Development. It could bring together developers doing or interested in BSP, Web Dynpro or Enterprise Services. Another session that would be interesting would be an MDM Developers BOF. With the upcomming releases of SP4, the APIs that allow for custom development with MDM are greatly expanded - especially with the new ABAP API. Although there will be hands-on sessions for these APIs during TechEd, this would be the opportunity to meet other developers that are also working in the expanding MDM area. Now here is the opportunity for anyone wanting to go and present at the Las Vegas SDN Day. If you were considering hosting a session, but weren't sure you were ready to go it alone; I'm offering to help out anyone who wants to sponser either of these two Birds of Feather sessions for Las Vegas. I will help create "Talking Points" to get things started and will be there on SDN Days to provide information on the topics from SAP. If no one comes forward I will go ahead and submit these sessions right before the deadline, but I would much rather someone from the community lead these. So here is your opportunity to get into SDN days as a contributor but also get help with your session.
