Just in time for SAPphire 2012, the SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions team released a new package for UI renovation. The content of this package leverages the Side Panel of SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC 3.5) to provide a complete new user experience for the SAP ERP end user - without the need of rewriting any of the transaction screens.

The RDS package provides context-related business content and supplementary information (including external) taking SAP ERP transactional data to the next level, including master data, analytics and related services.

Users have key business process data at their fingertips for the following areas:

  • Financials
  • Procurement
  • Quality Management
  • Sales & Distribution

Using the flexibility of Web Dynpro Side Panel this is achieved without any additonal code. The user gets layouts and ready-to-use gadgets (SAP CHIPs) like charts, forms, etc. that enhance the context of a transaction. The context is dynamically defined by data currently being processed in the SAP GUI. The data is presented in an easy to consume format which increases user productivity allowing users to make more informed business decisions in their every-day work.
