I started writing my last 2008 blog about statistics related to transaction processing time, a followup to an earlier blog, then found the topic of wiki moderation, gardening if you will, an interesting diversion. For a few months, I've moderated the list of wiki moderators, starting with a dialogue with Marilyn Pratt on recruiting, training and encouraging people to better use the wiki. After finding stale wiki spaces, and learning how the description is managed, I mashed up wikis and moderators.
The new wiki home page ("Welcome to the SCN wiki", or, the "New SCN Wiki Homepage Beta Version") has a few general topic areas, then lists spaces by categories. I'll call them arbitrary as I don't always follow how the were assigned, which is why I go right to the Wiki dashboard to find a space. I didn't look to see if these 2 independent views of the wiki agree 100%; given the main page is manually edited, I would not be surprised to see gaps.
There are gaps when we mash up the dashboard against the Wiki moderators page. I dumped each page into a spreadsheet, moved cells to see what matched, then transcribed to an HTML table. It's possible transcription errors occurred, and likely that by the time you read this changes in either source happened.
Missing dashboard wikis have 2 causes - one, someone is moderating a child of a top level wiki distinct from the remainder, or two, the wiki is named differently, like Corporate Performance Management vs. Enterprise Performance Management. I'd suggest the moderated wiki page be changed.
Missing moderated wikis is the main reason for this blog - we need your help! You might already be gardening the wiki (read the instructions), and it's just a formality to add your name. Or, you might be thinking, I'm interested in that wiki area, what can I do? A few wiki pages are administrative, so don't need specific moderators from the general SCN world. Others, like SAPedia, could be culled, combined, or redirected.

Errata
Dead wiki links - Entries in the wiki moderator page might have URLs, funny colors, or other indicators that the links are bad. I've seen this happen before due to software bugs, rather than the wikis not existing. If you find these, let support know.
Italics - show my editorial commentary
Moderators without links - hey folks, if you're volunteering to keep order, let us know how to get in touch with you. Otherwise, I'll tweet, DM, or email Craig or Marilyn, and that's not how they want the system to work.
Moderators not moderating - unlike the forums, where moderators may be clearly identified, wiki gardeners might be invisible, so if they stop weeding, how do you know? You can add you name to a wiki with existing wiki moderators if you like.
Product versions in wiki space name - To me, this is not a best practice. I'd like to see "Visual Composer 7.0" and "Visual Composer 7.1" co-exist in the same wiki space. Maybe that's just me.
Other errors and omissions are mine.

Craig Cmehil referred me to the book Wikipatterns, which I bought early in 2008. It's worthwhile reading that, and examining the companion website. The roles, like WikiGnome, are priceless.
