Product Updates for SAP Business Application Studio – Release 2211

Dear community,

release 2211 of SAP Business Application Studio is now available for our customers. I’m happy to share with you some of the new features included in this release.

 

SAP Cloud for Customer Catalog in Service Center

The SAP System Service Provider includes systems from your SAP Business Application Studio subaccount. You can use the services as data sources in your application or for application development. With the new release, you can now add an SAP Cloud for Customer system to your SAP Business Application Studio subaccount from the Service Center (see “What’s new” information for SAP Business Application Studio). This allows you to

1. Create an SAP Cloud for Customer system from SAP Business Application Studio


2. Explore SAP and customer developed services from a dedicated SAP Cloud for Customer catalog


3. Drill into the metadata and live data of the relevant business entities


4. Create a frontend application or add the service as an external model to a backend SAP Cloud Application Programming Model application

Create and Configure SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery Jobs with SAP Fiori for ABAP Platform Pipeline

By making use of the integration with SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) Service, you can now set up your SAP Fiori project with a CI/CD job with the new pipeline “SAP Fiori for ABAP Platform”. This will allow you to do the following actions all from within SAP Business Application Studio:

1. Configure build tools, unit tests, a lint check, and a malware scan


2. Configure a Sonar scan


3. Configure an app release to the SAP ABAP platform

Low-Code Project Build & Deploy Task in Task Explorer

With the new release, you can create and configure reusable build and deploy tasks for your Low-Code project using the Task Explorer. With just one click, it is possible to execute the created build and deploy tasks. Using a dedicated user interface, you can create and edit the task parameters.

Create and publish project templates in SAP Business Application Studio

With SAP Business Application Studio, you can create a template using the open-source Yeoman for project generation framework and share it with others. In this blog post Avital Margalit describes how to convert your Yeoman generator into an SAP Business Application Studio template.
