Good News!
SAP Cloud Platform Transport Management service is now available in the Cloud Foundry trial environment. Just open the subscription tab and click on the 'Transport Management' tile:
Now you have to subscribe to the Transport Management service. For that click on the 'Subscribe' button:
After the status of the service switches to 'Subscribed' you are ready to configure Transport Management as described in our documentation: Setup and Configuration of SAP Cloud Platform Transport Management.
To finish the setup you will need to:
- grant the corresponding users the required role to use the tool.
- configure the transport landscape in accordance with your development scenario.
This setup allows you to manually create content for transport (for example a multi-target application archive), attach it to a newly created transport request and perform the import of the content to transport targets defined via the transport nodes.
Optionally, you can enable the built-in handover of content to the Transport Management service. This would allow you to:
- select content in the SAP Cloud Platform Cockpit using the Solution Export Wizard and pass it on to the service for transport.
- submit content for transport directly from your Cloud Platform Integration design time (would require an additional configuration in the SAP Cloud Platform Integration service).
The trial version of Transport Management is fully functional and can be used with any existing Neo subaccounts or Cloud Foundry spaces (trial or 'normal' accounts). Please observe that the Transport Management service will be removed together with your trial account when the trial period expires.
