Welcome to the 1st 2019 update on our Intelligent Cloud ERP series!

The Intelligent Enterprise is the next frontier for SAP customers. Let me give you a glimpse of the key innovations coming with SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1902, as well as some functionalities on the road map. These are meant to equip our customers on this journey as well as help them transform themselves. The video will give you more details, but here’s a quick summary for you.

We have mentioned situation handling in our product updates already. This quarter, situation handling has been implemented at the heart of many business processes:

Finance, to Manage Payment Advice
In Manufacturing, to Manage Material
Sourcing and Procurement: to Confirm Receipt of Goods
Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management, with the Budget Availability Control for Project Controller

Regarding automation of ERP processes, let me pick Finance: the new Advanced Financial Closing. This supports planning, executing, monitoring, and analyzing financial closing task.

In Manufacturing, I’d like to highlight how we smartly leverage the embedded analytics capabilities of S/4HANA Cloud with the new SAP Fiori app “Inventory KPI Analysis”.

Now to SAP Leonardo Machine Learning where we release a brand-new scenario in PLM: Intelligent Content Processing for Document Classification

What is on the road ahead, beyond SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1902?

Here is the outlook for situation handling, more is in the planning…

SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1905: Demand-Driven Situation Handling (continued), Use of Situations to Inform the team owner when a team member is blocked
SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1908: Situation management – take action when a request for quotation (RFQ) is near the submission deadline with a low number of quotations

One topic we have not touched yet is Digital assistant and SAP CoPilot – here a sample of planned innovations:

In 1905, in Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management, we are planning to extend the conversational enablement of project management. This will result in improved project collaboration and project transparency.
Later, for 1908, yet another quick create functionality for sales orders will be available. Based on this enhancement, users can create a sales order with only minimal input, as simple as you can imagine.
In 1908 as well, in the Manufacturing area, we are planning to enable “Show me” skills, to reply to simple “show me” questions with delivery-related information, for example, to list outbound deliveries for a specific customer that relate to a specific shipping point
