Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence is at the heard of SAP’s strategy to help all customers become more intelligent enterprise. Machine learning is a subset of artificial intelligence (AI) in which computers learn from data and improve with experience without being explicitly programed.
It is focused on teaching computers to learn from data and to improve with experience – instead of being explicitly programmed to do so. Technically, in machine learning, algorithms are trained to find patterns and correlations in large data sets and to make the best decisions and predictions based on that analysis. Machine learning applications improve with use and become more accurate the more data they have access to.
Making use of machine learning, we can make sure that our customers can reduce mundane tasks and thereby increase business agility.
Process automation can be achieved as well via “Situations“. Situation handling is a concept for bringing urgent issues to the user’s attention. “Situations” indicate exceptional circumstances that are critical to a business process. The solution proposals can be either predefined or learned, based on similar cases in the past.
SAP delivers situation templates that Business Configuration Experts can adopt and deploy using the “Manage Situation Types” Fiori app. It pre-defines a particular business situation. i.e. Not all situations are available to track.
Predictive analytics helps users to focus more on outcomes than on the past. Better forecasting techniques can drastically reduce manual efforts and help businesses to scale. SAP Predictive Analytics is business intelligence software from SAP that is designed to enable organizations to analyze large data sets and predict future outcomes and behaviors.
