Influencing SAP’s Data Management strategy in S/4HANA through Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI)
The SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) development team is working on providing solutions for data management in S/4HANA. We would like to reach out to customers to discuss innovations we are working on in order to get their feedback to optimize the overall design and functionality of the final solution.
We have two main goals – first to understand what the detailed customer requirements for data management in S/4HANA On Premise and Cloud editions are and secondly we would like to get feedback from customers on current and planned innovations.
The challenges faced in S/4HANA OnPremise and S/4HANA Cloud editions are different. Determining a retention rule and calculating and applying an expiration date to data based on various legal requirements or use cases and finally destroy the data once the expiration date has been reached can be very difficult process we would like to discuss. Another important factor are the roles and defined tasks which are involved. Furthermore our aspiration is to provide the processes to define retention rules, final destruction and blocking of information in a simple and intuitive manner which will benefit from customer feedback and experiences.
