SAP Dashboard Design (Xcelsius) Edition Comparison

In 2011 we renamed our dashboarding product line, end of lifed one product (Xcelsius Engage Server), and added a new product (SAP Crystal Dashboard Design, departmental edition).

With all that change, I’ve encountered lots of questions and have found this one slide helpful in explaining the current product lineup.

This should help provide at a glance an overview of the dashboarding and presentation product line.

So when I get it right, the Name of the Product in the BO Enterprise enviroment is "Dashboards"?

Yes, 'SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards' is the official marketing name and price list name for the direct/enterprise dashboard products. This applies to both the viewing license and the desktop design software.

In the desktop software itself, you will see 'Dashboard Design' because that is the design component used to create the dashboards. I know it could be more consistent and we're working on further alignment. Thanks, Blair
