After the Go-Live and the general availability of SAP Start in July 2023, the SAP Start Team did not stop working on new features to enrich the seamless user experience for SAPs Out-of-the-Box Central Entry Point. We are happy to share the latest features with you in this Blog Post.

If you are not yet familiar with SAP Start, let me do a brief introduction.

SAP Start is part of the SAP Build Work Zone product family and hence based on the SAP Build Work Zone technology.

It is one ready-built page, which combines seamless navigation to your connected SAP cloud solutions and relevant information for the current user which supports them in their daily work.

SAP Start is a free offering, available on the SAP Business Technology Platform. If you want to learn more about it, you can do so by reading through our SAP Start Help Page

New SAP cloud solution integrations

As SAP Start started with the integration of SAP S/4 HANA Cloud, public edition and SAP SuccessFactors, our goal is to get every SAP cloud solution integrated with SAP Start.

In Q1 2024 we made a huge step towards this goal with the integration of SAP S/4 HANA Cloud Private edition. Delivered with the 2023 FPS01 Release which came in February, SAP Start can be connected to your SAP S/4 HANA Cloud Private edition.

There is more. On May 13th, SAP Fieldglass will join the list of available SAP cloud solutions integrated with SAP Start.

Both solutions will have full integration scope.

Via the CDM integration you can navigate directly into apps of your systems or trigger searches within the connected solutions.

Over the SAP Task Center Service integration, which is also available on the SAP Business Technology Platform, the user's tasks will be shown as cards in the To-Dos section on the SAP Start page and can be directly processed by the user.

And last, but not least, new Insights Cards will be provided by SAP S/4 HANA Cloud Private edition and SAP Fieldglass for the user.

As we aim for an as-easy-as-possible set-up experience for our customers, we are working on new guided set-up processes, so-called Boosters, which we will provide as well as soon as they are ready.

Until then, the cloud solutions can be connected manually step by step.

For SAP S/4 HANA Cloud, private edition this can be done as described in the Blog Post - How to Connect a S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition System to SAP Start

A respective Blog Post for SAP Fieldglass will follow and be referred to here as well, once SAP Fieldglass is officially available with SAP Start.

New Insight Cards

Besides the full integration of SAP cloud solutions, there are also new Insights Cards coming up for the Insights section, provided by the already and soon available solutions.

SAP Fieldglass is starting its SAP Start journey with two cards, My Statements of Work and My Workers, which will support the users in their planning with their external Workforce.

Cards01.pngSAP SuccessFactors enhances their set of cards in May 2024 with three new employee centric cards.

Two cards dedicated to strengthening the relationship between managers and their teams by providing Birthdays and Work Anniversaries.

In addition, one card, which shall help new employees with their onboarding and give them a warm welcome.

Furthermore, later this year, SAP SuccessFactors will provide five more cards.

Among them, to follow up on the first onboarding card, a second one that provides a checklist for new hires to find the best way into their new jobs.

Matching the topic, but on the contrary, there will also be an offboarding card, which will support the employee with tasks that must be done before leaving the company.

Two of the five new cards will give the employee payroll information about off cycle and bonus payments.

Lastly, one card dedicated to support people managers with HR topics for their team
