Variant Management in Collaboration hub

In the SAP Signavio Process Collaboration Hub, you can access the Variant Management center via the side panel. Here, you can view an overview of all variant groups in the workspace and conduct both single and bulk actions on them.
- Choose Create new template.
- Browse your folders and choose a process to set as the template. Confirm with Select. The Set Dimensions and Values window opens.
- Choose or create dimensions as needed.
- Choose Add value to add one or more values to a dimension. Confirm selections with Next.
- (Optional) Choose Browse processes to attach variants to the template.
- Choose Create template

Managing Dimension and Value
To maximize your capabilities, populate your Dictionary with new entries that align with your organization’s categories. The strength of Signavio lies in its data-driven approach to process management, enabling a comprehensive view of your processes and facilitating continuous, non-disruptive change.
In the Variant Management center, located under the Dimensions and Values tab, you can modify the dimensions and values of individual variants or templates. Additionally, you have the capability to edit dimensions and values across multiple diagrams within a variant group simultaneously. Dimensions are categorized within a dictionary, while values are stored as dictionary entries.
To perform these actions:
- Choose a variant group.
- Select at least one checkbox for the diagrams within the variant group. The system will display each assigned dimension to the selected diagrams in separate tabs.
- Select a dimension to view or modify the values associated with the selected diagrams. You can:
- Add an existing value from this dimension.
- Create and add a new value within this dimension.
- To attach a value that's already been added to some selected diagrams to all of them, choose (More Actions) on the right end of a row, then select Attach to selected.
- Choose Detach from selected to remove a value.
- Choose to assign an additional dimension, select an existing dimension, or create a new one:
- Enter the dimension name in the Select or create dimension field on the top right of the screen. The system will suggest existing dimensions at the top of the list and unused dictionary entries below.
- If a suggested dimension fits, select the checkbox. Multiple entries can be selected. When a dictionary category is chosen, the system marks it for use in variant management, changing the publishing mode to automatic, thereby enabling automatic updates for linked diagrams.
Expanding the dimensions in your catalogue enhances the granularity and flexibility of your analysis, allowing for more precise customization and adaptation to evolving business requirements. Moreover, effective management of access and authorization is paramount in ensuring the security and integrity of your process data within Signavio.
Managing the Access and Authorization for Variant Management

Within SAP Signavio Process Collaboration Hub, you can conveniently access the Variant Management center through the side panel menu.
