Survey Insights: Your Voice Matters
Our permanent UI5 Demo Kit survey serves as a crucial avenue for gathering your thoughts. This is where you get to tell us how we're doing, what's working like a charm (yes, we want to hear that, too!), and where we might be missing the mark. The main target of this survey is the Demo Kit, including the documentation, APIs, controls, etc. We've got questions about user satisfaction, but more importantly, we've got an open field where you can spill your thoughts freely. Every quarter, we run a more extensive survey for a couple of weeks with more questions to get more insights. By way: This long survey is currently running for Q2 until May 21, so feel free to use this opportunity (see the helpful links section below).
These comments are anonymous, but they don’t just disappear into the digital abyss. On the contrary: Your submissions are meticulously catalogued within our internal GitHub repository where our development teams assess and prioritize them. Some issues are like low-hanging fruit – easy fixes we can implement immediately. Others need a bit more consideration before we can decide whether they find their way into our backlog.
Documentation Dialogue: Collaborating for Clarity
Ever spotted an error or envisioned an enhancement in our documentation on the UI5 Demo Kit? Our Edit on GitHub button in the lets you to initiate changes directly. What sets this process apart is that it’s not a one-way street but also an opportunity to discuss your ideas with you. We welcome your input and value the opportunity to discuss proposed changes to our developer documentation. We've already had some significant contributions from the community in this realm, and we extend our gratitude to those who've contributed to refining our documentation.
Engaging with Our Community
But our feedback loop doesn't stop there. We're not just sitting back waiting for feedback to land in our laps. We actively engage with you through various community touchpoints. Whether it's at events like UI5con, in our open UI5ers live webcast, at customer workshops, or on online platforms such as X, StackOverflow, and Slack: Actively seeking out your opinions and ideas makes us better. Many projects and ideas that started out as community ideas for SAPUI5/OpenUI5 projects. Just one example: The transform-modules-ui5 Babel plugin was developed by an individual developer in the community a couple of years ago. It has since become an integral part of our TypeScript toolchain. That’s the spirit! So it’s really important to us to engage with you wherever you come up with your ideas.
And as you know: OpenUI5 is open source, so you can actively improve the core framework itself!
