What is the alternative of ECC ITS Services developed from Dynpro Program in S/4 HANA?

Hi Experts,

I have a query, if we convert ECC EHP7 to S/4 HANA then what will be impact my custom tables and it's data. Will it transfer to HANA automatically? Please let me know the process to make it happen. Also that custom application is running with Dynpro Application and we had created ITS web services to operate it in RFID handheld device to read RFID tag to Operate business transaction which stores in custom table. Which is the best approach to handle this business scenario from ECC to S/4 HANA without much efforts and without future impact.

Thanks & Regards,

Sweta Gohil.

It will of course depend on the approach you will take. But unless you're going for a greenfield S4H, your custom tables should normally not be harmed.

Mind you, this does not mean everything will work automatically. If the custom tables contain references to SAP standard objects that have been changed/simplified, well then you will have to take that into consideration (example: if you're tables contain vendor information, there is a chance you will have to change it to the BP model, or if your tables contain materials, there is the change in length of the field to consider,.. etc). But all that is impossible for us to say as we don't know what is in the custom tables.

ITS still works in S4H. I even believe that in EWM standard SAP uses ITS instead of Fiori.. so I wouldn't worry about that. Though again, your applications themselves need to go through the converting process. But Fiori can be an alternative to ITS.

But SAP provides tools that analyze your custom objects, which normally should give you more answers.
