As I understand from the documentation I read, PowerDesigner doesn't show Views and Materialized Views while converting from PDM to LDM. How do you manage this situation? Is there anything we can do if we want to visualize these too or is this just the way it is?
Unlike competing tools, there are ways of extending PowerDesigner's capabilities so you can generate LDM content from Views, into either stereotyped entities or into new types of object. There are pros and cons for each of these targets.
A logical model contains entities and attributes, relationships, identifiers, subtypes and supertypes, and constraints between relationships. There is no view in LDM.
