Verwendung des BRTOOLS für Shrinken einer LOB Tabelle vor der Reorg.

Für die Reorganisierung der Tabelle muss vorerst die verknüpfte LOB Tabelle über einen SHRINK Befehl verkleinert werden.

Im normalen DBA Umfeld wäre es dieses Kommando:

ALTER TABLE <table> MODIFY LOB(DATEN) (SHRINK SPACE);

Bei SAP Datenbanken soll das BRTOOLS verwendet werden. Die Frage ist, wie das richtig Vorgehen ist, um die LOB Tabelle zu shrinken?

Dear Customer,

With BR*Tools there is no restriction for LOB fields. Only the LONG and LONG RAW fields should be converted into LOB.

You can reorganize the LOB columns with BRSAPCE without shrinking.
